Where as new DDP drivers are notarized as per macOS new application signature system, old drivers are not.

Therefore, notarization needs to be turned off if you want to install old drivers on Mac clients.


Below is the procedure to follow:



1 – boot to recovery mode (CMD+R during macOS startup)

 

2 – start terminal (Utilities -> Terminal)

 

3 – enter command

 

csrutil disable

 

4 – reboot to normal macOS (not in recovery mode)

 

5 – run command

 

nvram boot-args=”kext-dev-mode=1”

 

6 – install AVFS and iSCSI

 

7 – allow through security preferences when prompted – this will also prompt the machine to reboot

 

8 – after reboot, log back in and connect as normal with iSCSI Pref
