Syncing the client machines and DDP time and data is crucial as some applications are relying on time when modifications are being made on the DDP volumes files.

There are two options when wanting to synchronize the client machines and the DDP:
- Let the DDP acting as a time server and synchronize the client machine with it
- Synchronize the DDP and the client machines with a dedicated time server

In order to achieve this on OSX, just go to the “Date & Time Preferences” panel and insert your DDP IP address as in the example below:

In order to achieve this on Windows, just go to the “Date & Time Properties” in the control panel and insert your DDP IP address as in the example below:

In order to synchronize a client machine to a dedicated time server, the same procedure can be followed.
Then to synchronize the DDP with this time server, just go to the “Time & Date” page of the DDP web GUI and click on the “Add” button.

After you enter the time server IP address as shown below, click on the “Ok” button.

Click on the “Refresh NTP status” button and check that the DDP time that is displayed at the bottom right of the page is now synchronized with the time server.
