V5 drivers are compatible with Windows 64 bit only.

V3/V4 drivers are compatible with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit.

Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012

Due to more rigorous security terms, AVFS drivers require the installation of SHA256 certificates which can be downloaded from our reseller page.

These certificates can be imported one by one after Windows has been updated with the sha256-w7-windows6.1-KB3033929-x64.msu bundled with the certificate package.

Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019

Latest drivers do not require any special attention on recent versions of Windows.

Secure boot is fully supported as AVFS drivers are EV Code Signing certified.

Upon installing the drivers, you can safely ignore the messages asking to reboot your system.

Instead, manually restart the PC after the installation completes.


1 - Download V5 Windows 64 bit AVFS/UNC/AVID FS drivers and execute the AVFS installer as administrator.

Ignore all messages asking to reboot the PC.

2 - Enter the client iqn name (iqn.xxxx) as per the following rules:

- use lowercase alphanumeric characters (0-9, a-z)

- period, dash and colon are allowed as delimiters (. - :)

3 - Enter the DDP IP address (e.g.: and click the "Add" button.

4 - Click the "Install" button to complete the AVFS driver installation.

In the taskbar, right click on the AVFS icon, click "Information" and make sure the IP address you previously entered appears.

If the information doesn't appear, either the AVFS driver or iSCSI server is not loaded or running, which means one of the prerequisites hasn't been followed.

5 - Optionally execute the SetupArdisDDPExtras installer in order activate UNC and AvidFs.

6 - Restart the computer
